Community Partners
Overview
The Unionville Tavern Preservation Society, a 501(c)3, is seeking community partners (formerly Corporate Sponsors) to support our organization’s efforts to stabilize, rehabilitate, and revitalize the Unionville Tavern.
As the custodian for this historic local landmark our priority is to secure the building and prepare for the future restoration according to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. As a board, we believe this is the best practice for preserving and protecting the Tavern. The first step in this process is to conduct a Historic Structure Report on the Tavern. To complete this report, we have been working with historic preservation architect, Steve Avdakov, of Heritage Architectural Associates. This report will be complete early Summer 2016. In the meantime, stabilization projects at the building remain ongoing and we continue to advocate for the future of the Tavern at the local, state, and national level, by maintaining memberships with Heritage Ohio and The National Trust for Historic Preservation.
We welcome the opportunity to further discuss the details of the project, and all sponsorship opportunities. Please contact us using the contact form below or at (440) 417-8299.

Feasibility Study - 2018
The Unionville Tavern Preservation Society will be working with an accomplished fund-raising team, from Columbus, Ohio, to conduct a feasibility study for The Old Tavern historic rehabilitation and preservation project. This feasibility study will required $30,000 and explore adding potential large corporate and foundation partners to to our existing team of partners, in order to complete the funding for the remainder of the restoration project. We are looking for local and regional partners to invest in this critical study. For a contribution of $5,000, our Feasibility Study Corporate Partners shall be recognized with a banner on the fence along State Route 84 in front of the Tavern and recognition on the Society website and in all of our publications, for this year. Every dollar donated to the Feasibility Study Fund will be multiplied exponentially, through larger donations from corporate and foundation partners, to fund the "bricks and mortar" work at the Tavern. Your feasibility contribution will serve as THE basis for the larger funding which will "Restore the Tavern!"
We look forward to talking to you about this project. Please contact us below or at 440-417-8299.
Veranda Room Project - 2018
The Veranda Room is the most modern section of the building, located off the East side of the main building. Originally, is was an open air porch that was later enclosed, and then expanded to allow for more dining. The Society sees this room as an opportunity to utilize space inside the Tavern during the complete restoration of the building. The Veranda Room is able to be closed off from the main building and has the potential to invite guests into the Tavern, provide meeting space, and be an extension of the garden. We are developing a community driven project plan to renovate the space in 2018.
If you are interested becoming involved in this project, we look forward to hearing from you at 440-417-8299
